6 days to go

I have been working like crazy to get the house and myself ready for the road. The following may sound like I am making huge sacrifices, but keep in mind that I have wanted to do this for so long that this month has been strangely one of the lowest stress times I've felt in a long time (well except for the Lilly search, but now even that is perfect).
I have sold or given away almost everything I own. My philosophy is this: what goes around comes around. I don't expect those exact items to come back, of course, but hopefully, when I want to settle back into the world, things I need will present themselves.
I have worked very hard on finishing details for the house. Carpet, paint touch-ups, bathtub work... It looks really great.
I have scanned ALL of my documents. I no longer have any paper files. By the way, I offer that service in my organizing bizness!
Through all of this work, I feel very at peace. No matter what happens this was the right thing to do in this moment.
Merry Christmas!

Hi Abby!! It's been ages since we've chatted. SO sorry that I missed you when I was in Austin this June, but it doesn't sound like you were there either! Wow-- on the road will be such a wonderful experience for you. I hope you love it. Anyhow, I skimmed the blog, but didn't get much detail about YOU outside of the business, so drop me an e-mail when you get a chance. Hope you come by Pittsburgh his summer. I'll definately make it out to see you then. guess mailing you a Christmas card will be impossible when you won't be "home", huh? Love ya lots--

Actually, I'm tired of only giving gifts to certain people and only to all or none of certain relatives in order to "be fair". So now my policy is if I see something that makes me think of someone it's ok to give the present even if I don't have something for everyone else. I saw your tat and thought of that book because it made me laugh when I saw it the year I worked at barnes and noble. I always wanted to get it for someone. So, anyway, I like the idea of random gifts... I hope I can improve my skills.
